The Alliance for Learning Teaching School has announced a new partnership with specialist Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) provider, Primary Languages Network.
The collaboration will deliver best practice for primary languages teaching and learning and will offer CPD training opportunities for MFL co-ordinators, Newly Qualified and Recently Qualified Teachers. The partnership also offers dynamic primary language teaching and planning resources designed for languages specialists and non-specialist teachers plus a visiting primary languages teacher service for schools.
In addition to online teaching resources, Alliance for Learning schools will be able to access their own custom dashboard to share ideas, resources and examples of work.
Lisa Fathers, Director at Alliance for Learning Teaching School, comments: “Through the work we are doing with Primary Languages Network we will now be able to offer exceptional languages training and support, helping schools across the North West to work towards achieving a broad and balanced curriculum. The partnership also offers a fantastic opportunity for our schools to collaborate with one another in this area.
“We’re currently working on some exciting offers for our schools wanting become part of the Primary Language Network and we will be hosting an event in the New Year, where schools can find out more about what’s available. We are such a large teaching school it is important to have a broad offer.”
Janet Lloyd, Founder and Managing Director of Primary Languages Network says: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with The Alliance for Learning in this new venture. We look forward to sharing our expertise; all our CPD, resources and teaching services are designed to empower schools to deliver effective and creative primary foreign languages.”
