Greater Manchester Health & Social Care Partnership has created a dedicated mental health and wellbeing hub to share resources including support for those with specific mental health needs:
- those with a learning disability
- autistic people
- older people & those living with dementia
Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families has developed a guide to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of staff at schools and colleges during periods of disruption: Looking after each other and ourselves. The guide includes useful tips plus links to additional resources including podcasts.
They have also created a downloadable PDF booklet with advice for parents and carers on how to reassure children on the coronavirus situation.

The British Psychological Society have collated a range of resources and articles, including ‘talking to children about Coronavirus’, ‘parenting while self-isolating and social distancing’ and ‘teacher resilience during coronavirus school closures’. There is also support and advice around the UK schools closures and links to a range of external resources, including guidelines from the UK government, the NHS, public Health England and WHO.
Resources for understanding and managing responses to coronavirus
Russ Harris (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) trainer) has developed a video and eBook on how to respond effectively to the Coronavirus pandemic, using principles of ACT . Mental health and emotional wellbeing
