An Introduction to the EYFS
This course is aimed at NQTs, teachers and teaching assistants who are new to the EYFS. It is also useful for subject co-ordinators who work in other Key Stages to support their understanding of what effective teaching and learning looks like for their subject in the EYFS.
This course will ensure delegates:
- Know the key statutory and non-statutory documents for the EYFS in schools
- Become familiar with the 7 Areas of Learning and Characteristics of Effective Learning
- Develop a deeper understanding of how young children learn and what good EYFS practice looks like
- Gain a deeper understanding of the assessment and planning cycle in the EYFS and its role in improving outcomes for children
