The Role of the Subject Leader and Development of Curriculum Leadership

This course will focus on systems and practices to quality assure foundation subject leadership in schools  and how this fits within your school’s wider curriculum offer.


Ensuring clarity around the school’s 3Is for their curriculum intent, implementation and impact, will sure-up subject leader knowledge around where their curriculum areas fits into the wider school.


Leads will have the opportunity to audit their current curriculum provision and consider how well it meets the requirements within the new Ofsted framework.  Delegates will feel much more confident about their own curriculum provision, how to evaluate it and how to continue to build on it. This will also support leaders with revising subject SEFs and SDPs.

Leads with come away with a clear understanding of the monitoring cycle; action plans, monitoring, evaluation, next steps. It will focus on measuring impact and developing a shared culture. This course will provide opportunities to share best practice, exchange knowledge and teaching strategies.
