The North West One Maths Hub (NW1), led by Altrincham Grammar School for Girls, is one of 4 local Maths Hubs and 35 national Maths Hubs, working together in the national Maths Hub programme.
The Maths Hub programme is funded by the Department for Education (DfE) and coordinated by the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM) in order to improve the quality of learning and teaching for our children and supporting colleagues to achieve and deliver a high quality mathematical experience for all phases in our children’s maths learning journey.
NW1 offer a wide range of high quality professional development opportunities and are involved in a plethora of maths projects which draw upon the latest teaching strategies from around the world to ensure that the UK has the teaching styles required to compete on the global stage.
As a hub, we collaborate with a wide range of enthusiastic, talented and dedicated maths teachers and strategic partners, and we are confident that together, we will achieve our fundamental ambition to raise standards in mathematics and inspire a passion and love of this subject in children and young people.
We are excited about the future of our hub and building upon our current successes. Please explore the links on the left to discover how your school can get involved.
