Challenging Topics at GCSE
The aim of the workgroup is to support whole departments in the planning and teaching of challenging topics at GCSE. This will be a great opportunity to work with staff from a variety of schools to develop good practise which can be brought back to benefit your own department. Through the lens of planning for ratio and proportion and trigonometry, approaches to improve outcomes in a range of different topics will be considered. Over 2018-2019 there will be four sessions throughout the year to work together, alongside taking back concrete tasks to share and trial within your schools.
The first session will be held at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls, starting at 9:30am and finishing at 2:30 with lunch provided.
Who should attend
