Mindfulness In Schools
Mindfulness is training in how to make the best use of your mind. There is an increasing body of scientific research evidence that shows that mindfulness techniques can be effective in dealing with stress, depression, eating disorders, chronic pain, illness and and encouraging wellness.
Mindfulness courses are delivered to staff and pupils in our schools, and recently, AGGS was involved in a research project that examined the effectiveness of mindfulness in schools. The findings have been published in the British Journal of Psychiatry, available to view here.
