ITT Leads Networking Session – the implications of the new Ofsted framework for ITE

This session is ideal for SCITT Leads, SCITT Staff, School direct leads, Professional and subject Mentors, anyone with responsibility or an interest in initial teacher training.

We are delighted to host Anne Seneviratne Former HMI and an expert in leading ITE inspections across SCITTs and HEIs. Anne was involved in the research programme that informed the new ITE inspection framework so has an in-depth understanding of its underpinning principles.

The timing could not be better, given the Ofsted announcement that inspections will not begin before April 2021.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions and collaborate with other colleagues who lead on ITT too.

Our facilitator Anne Senevirante is a former Her Majesty’s Inspector (HMI). She is a qualified English teacher and has taught across the full secondary range. Anne has a range of senior leadership experience in secondary schools as head of sixth form, assistant principal and vice principal. Prior to working for Ofsted, she was an academy principal. During her time as HMI she inspected a range of provisions including primary, secondary, independent schools and ITE partnerships. Anne was a member of the Ofsted quality assurance team and the national training team. She wrote ‘Key stage 3: the wasted years?’ and was involved in the curriculum research programme that informed the Education Inspection Framework.
